History of SISA.

The first DOS programs were made in 1987 when I, Daan Uitenbroek, was a student at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. The programs were further developed during the 7 years that I worked at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. The DOS programs were converted into JavaScript in 1997 when I was working in the National Health Service, Southampton. Since the end of 1998 I work at the municipal health service in Amsterdam and live in Hilversum, The Netherlands.

Important for citations, the year in which each procedure was created is on the procedure form, if there are two dates then the first date refers to the original DOS version, the 2nd date to the JavaScript version. Changes are recorded on the bugs page. Unfortunately, the bugs page has not been very well maintained during the last few years. Unless mention is made of that not being the case, everything has been authored by myself. (But you, yes you, are very welcome to make contributions. Contributors are referenced in all the appropriate places.)

Thanks for citing SISA,

Daan Uitenbroek
Hilversum
The Netherlands
